There are
6 community infromation centers(CICs) in
Syangja district viz mayatari, Bayatari,
Helu, Karendada, Lampata and
Bagalthok.These centers are working for
the awareness and promotion of ICT
activities.Hope there will be
appropriate help and support to
eastablish CICs throughout the Syangja
District. These centers are powered by
NRIDS, Syangja. |

NRIDS
was
established
in
2061-08-07
B.S
as
an
autonomous, non
political,
non profitable
service
oriented
organization.
The
NRIDS
has
been
formed
with
the involvement
of
local
community
people for
the
promotion of IT in
the
rural
areas.
The
driving
factor
behind
the
birth
of
NRIDS
was
to
let
the
people
know
what
IT
is
and how
people can
use
IT
for
the
local
development to result the
overall development.
The
society
targets
at
the
development
of
IT
by
establishing
the
Community
Information
Center
(CIC)
in
the
local
areas.
It
is
designed
not
for
the
big
talks
of
IT
but
to
make
the
local
people
aware
what
IT
is.
NRIDS strictly believes that
“The
one
and
only
alternative
that
Nepal
can compete
in
the
today’s
global
world
is
the
Information
Technology”.
Reflecting the power of ICT
to assist development, information
technology has become an important NRIDS
cross-cutting theme. Here ICT refers not
only to the underlying computer, Internet,
telecommunications, and broadcasting
technologies, but also to access and use of
these technologies. For NRIDS, ICT is
important both as a means and as an end and
a tool for development as well as an
economic sector to be developed.
It
aims
at
providing
the
local
community
with
an
environment
where
the
people
can increase
their
skills,
expertise
and
professionalism
with
the
help
of
IT
in
their
respective
field.
The
primary
objective
of
NRIDS
is
to
create
IT
awareness
in
the
grass
root
level.
The
major concern
of
NRIDS
is
to
well
acquaint
the
community
in
IT
development
with
the
notion of
community,
by
the
community
and
to
the
community.
Focal Objectives:

To
work
on research
and
effective
implementation
of
information
technology
in rural
community.

To and
conduct
training,
seminars,
workshops
for
the
encouragement
of
IT awareness among people from different
walks of life in the rural sector.
-
To localize the use of Nepali language
in IT in local sector.
-
To
provide
local
network
facilities
to
all
Village
Development
committees.
-
Prepare
capable
man
power
in
the
rural
areas
for
the
development
of
information
technology.

Teachers Training at Syangja |
NELTA syangja
organized a one day teachers training on
“English Phonetics” at Syangja Higher Secondary
school, Syangja on 21st October. The
Prime aim of the training was to train the
teachers of English with humanities background
on nature, production and perception of English
speech sounds. To make the English teachers
aware of the English sound syatem, the training
mainly focused on English consonants and vowels,
allophonic variations, aspiration, weak forms in
connected speech ,gemination and comparing and
contrasting English and Nepali Sound System.more >>>

Kalika Community Health Center |
Kalika Community Health Service Institute (KCHSI) is a
community based non-profit and non-partisan initiative to
provide the local communities with various basic health
services and facilities. The institute is located at Darsing
Dahathum-1, Helu, Syangja.
It would be of immense help if we can contribute some of our effort either economically or voluntarily. Let's keep hand in hand in this community effort to provide basic health services to the Nepalese.
